To avoid affecting wind and rain measurements, as a rule of thumb, the sensor array should be mounted at least four times the height of the highest obstacle.

For example, if the building is 20 feet (6 meters) tall and the monitor pole is 6 feet (2 meters) tall, the mounting distance is 4 x (20 - 6)' = 56 feet (17 meters).

Common sense dictates that if the weather station is mounted next to a tall building, the wind and rain will not be accurate.

Guidelines to installing your PWS

The location of your weather station is the most important part of installation. If your weather station is located under a tree or an overhang, the rainfall data measured by the station will not be correct. If you place your weather station in an alley, you could very well get a wind tunnel effect on the anemometer, resulting in erroneous wind data. Your weather station should have good "fetch", or distance from any other tall object.

We recommend placing the transmitter within 100 feet from the display in the event of interference from an obstruction. If in an open field, it may be placed within 300 feet.

Yes, but if the receiver (display) is too far away from the transmitter, it will not receive the signal. within 150 meters.

Display brightness is too low

The display will remain on only when the power adapter is connected. The display backlight has 3 levels of brightness.

When the backlight is on, short press the SNOOZE button to switch between the 3 levels of backlight.

When the backlight is off, press and hold the SNOOZE button for 3 seconds and the backlight will turn on permanently. The BL ON icon will be displayed in the date area for 3 seconds.

To turn off the display backlight at any time, press and hold the SNOOZE button for two seconds. The BL OFF icon will appear in the date area for 3 seconds.

If the brightness cannot be adjusted, it means that the power adapter or the display interface has a poor contact problem.

Optimal viewing angle for the display

The folding tabletop stand on the back of the display console is at roughly 45 degrees to the display . We recommend viewing the console from a 20 degree to 30 degree angle from above for the best display of the screen.

How to troubleshoot if the SA9 weather station is showing 0 barometric pressure.

Accepted Answer

You can reset the display console to factory defaults by pressing and holding the MAX/MIN/- key for at least three seconds while plugging in the power supply. Then unplug the display and plug it back in. (Remove the batteries before doing this).

If any data is not displayed, press and hold the CHANNEL/+ key for three seconds until a click is heard and all data is displayed as dashed lines.
The display will reacquire the signal from the transmitter. Once the signal is reacquired, all data will be displayed.

Definition of rainfall day and rainfall event in the app

The logic of our event is based on this. We take 24 hours of data. If the accumulated rainfall in 24 hours is less than 10 mm (0.039 inches), it will be reset to zero. If it is greater, it will display the rainfall in 24 hours.

The device will automatically search for the outdoor unit signal. If it fails, you need to press the outdoor unit reset button. You will also need to reconnect the outdoor and indoor units if you lose signal.If any sensor communication is lost, dashes (--.-) will appear on the screen. To reacquire the signal, press and hold the CHANNEL/+ button for 3 seconds, select the lost sensor, and the remote search icon will display continuously.It is also necessary to press the reset button on the outdoor unit. The beeping sound is because the battery is low and the unit is trying to power on but can't.

Please replace the batteries in the outside sensor. 2. If the batteries were recently replaced, please check whether the batteries are inserted backwards. The third method. 1. If the LED next to the battery compartment is flashing every 16 seconds, there may be a temporary loss of communication due to reception loss related to interference or other location factors. 2. Or you can power down and up the console. Just remove AC power and batteries, wait 10 seconds, and reinsert AC power and batteries. The fourth method. You can press WIND/+ and PRESSURE /- key to reset the weather station and clear all user settings to default.

While in Normal Mode, press (do not hold) the SET key repeatedly to enter into Temperature and Dew Point. Press the [+] or [-] key to toggle between temperature and dew point. To exit the Quick SET Mode at any time, press the SNOOZE button of the display console.
